Established in 1991, Avon House was
one of the first care homes in the area to specialise in what was then
EMI (Elderly Mentally Infirm) and is now called Dementia. We provide a
friendly, caring and homely atmosphere, encouraging our residents to
lead an active, dignified and independent life.
"Sunny" Worthing is a coastal town
in West Sussex that is a very popular retirement destination due to its
mild climate.
Avon House is situated in a quiet
tree-lined road, within easy reach of Worthing town centre, the seafront
with adjacent parking and access to public transport.
Registered for 26 residents aged 65
plus; the
accommodation consists 24 single rooms and one double room.
The resident's needs, preferences,
medical condition and personality form part of the assessment prior to
admission to the Home and we utilise Person Centred Care to fulfil the
care needs of the individual.
Avon House provides a nutritious and
varied diet, considering the individual likes, dislikes and special
dietary requirements of all residents.
Activities are many and varied to
stimulate and interest all residents. The programme is developed by
consulting with residents and caters for their changing wishes. Many
services are offered within the home including visiting hairdressers and
chiropodists.
The registered manager Jackie Mann
would be pleased to answer any questions you have, and looks forward to
welcoming you for a look around Avon House.
